Description
This course is specially designed for those engineers who deal with modern WD SMR drives. It covers all the most burning challenges a data recovery engineer may face when working with WD SMR drives.
Only users with sufficient knowledge of the PC-3000 are admitted to this course.
Attendees will need to have already completed the HDD Expert course at the ACE Lab Training Centre and/or have significant experience in HDD data recovery.
Day 1 Highlights
The first day is devoted to fundamental knowledge and learning about the differences between CMR and SMR drives. The disk structure and principles of operations are fully analyzed.
You will obtain the useful practical skills by solving such real cases as unlocking SED-locked drive and working with a drive with non-original ROM.
Day 2 Highlights
The second day will cover facing and overcoming the most popular and challenging issues on WD SMR drives.
Thanks to the real practical tasks, you will get the essential skills in the functionality of WD utility and Data Extractor working with Service Area in general and second lever translator in particular.
